Our Story
Idaho Mercantile Distillers began in 2014 as a one-woman operation in Shelley — a town where neighbors still know each other by name and where "good enough" isn't accepted at the dinner table.
What started as weekend bread sales at the local farmers market grew into a full kitchen and a corner store on North State Street. Today we continue to bake, preserve, and source with the same standard we held on day one: if we wouldn't serve it to our family, we won't offer it to yours.
Every product carries the same promise — real ingredients, honest preparation, and the kind of care that shows up in the taste.
What We Offer
From the oven to the shelf — every item is selected or made with the same intention: to bring something genuinely better to your table.
Sourdough, country loaves, and seasonal specialties — baked fresh each morning using locally milled flour and natural starters.
Small-batch jams, jellies, and preserves crafted from Idaho-grown fruit — no shortcuts, no artificial anything.
Thoughtfully sourced essentials — from olive oils and vinegars to grains, spices, and other pantry favorites you'll actually use.
Croissants, tarts, and daily specials made from scratch — the kind of morning treat that makes you slow down and savor it.
Cheeses, butters, and cured meats from Idaho farms — perfect for building a board or simply enjoying with a good loaf.
Pre-arranged or custom-built gift sets featuring our best products — ideal for hosts, holidays, or anyone who deserves better.
